La piedad
Hello everybody,
Let my introduce myself, my name is Andrea, I'm from Mexico and I work at Recife since june las year. Some of you might know me already. I like cooking and I cook mexican food in Recife everyday. Every Friday I will be talking about Mexico and the mexican culture so all of you can know a little bit about my country.

Today I will talk about my hometown La Piedad (ラピエダド). It's a small city in the state of Michoacan (ミチョアカン). One of its mains atracctions is the church of Senor de la Piedad (セニオル デ ラピエダド). It's a big and beautiful church built in the 18th century located in the center of the principal square in the city. At night, people, mostly couples, like to go and to the square and walk around, eat ice cream, chips or boiled chikpeas like japanese eat edamame. Everytime I eat edamame remind me a lot eating chickpeas sitting on a bench in the main square in La Piedad.
と、いうわけで今日は私の出身地 ラピエダドについて♪
ミチョアカンにあるちいさな街です。
この街で一番のお勧めスポットがセニオル デ ラピエダド という教会。
街の中心に18世紀にたてられた大きくてとってもきれいな教会。
夜になると、沢山の人、とくにカップルでここに集まり、
アイスクリームやフライドポテト、チックピーズ（日本でいう枝豆）を食べ歩きしながら過ごします。
いつも日本で枝豆を食べるたんびに
ラピエダドの教会のベンチでたべたチックピーズを思い出します・・・。
People raise a lot of pigs so La Piedad is well know for its delicious carnitas (カルニタス) a tipical mexican dish made with pork. You can buy it by kilos. We eat it with tortillas and jalapenios. I miss that flavor.
ラピエダドでは豚の畜産が盛んなので「カルニタス」という、メキシコポーク料理がとても有名です。
キロで販売されていて、トルティーヤやハラペーニョと一緒にいただきます。
うぅぅカルニタスが恋しいなぁー。
